High-pressure Jetting

High pressure jetting is a fast cost effective means of cleaning sewers, drains and culverts. This technique can be used not only for removing deposits silt debris and encrustations but also for clearing blockages and cutting roots. The fleet size and versatility also ensures that the right machine is matched to each customer’s requirements.

Winching

Winching is the traditional method of cleaning sewers, drains and culverts. Pipes of all diameters and lengths of up to 500 metres can be cleaned. Winching is particularly effective in the removal of root infiltration.

CCTV Surveys

A CCTV inspection will identify and pin point any defects such as roots, cracks, displaced joints and intruding connections in a system quickly and efficiently. All CCTV survey reports are presented in accordance with the format laid down in the WRC. Each report is accompanied by a colour video recording, highlighting specific conditions and any problems.

Tank Cleaning

Tanks of any size can be cleaned or decontaminated. Irish Waste Services employs dedicated teams of highly trained personnel to carry out these services. Risk assessments and method statements are then prepared in order to ensure that the cleaning operation is conducted in a safe and professional manner ensuring all permits to work and PPE are utilised.

Wet Wells and Culverts

The provision of dedicated vacuum and pressure cleaning equipment ensures that wet wells and culverts are cleaned in an effective and efficient manner. Our Jet Vac tankers can remove heavy debris and silt from culverts for distances of up to 400 metres (1300 feet). The adoption of our in house cleaning management system ensures you can benefit from a planned programme of cleaning which will minimise the risk of pump damage and excessive wear and tear caused by the build up of silt and grit. Interceptor Emptying Whatever the size of interceptor, we can provide the vehicles and plant to deal with regular or one off requirements. Jet Vacs are used to remove both liquid and solid debris from the interceptor. The material is transported to our licensed treatment plant where it is processed.

Boiler Cleaning

This technique is used for the removal of dry materials such as dust, sand, ash or hard core from bunkers, boiler flues and chimneys. For fluids, effluent slurries and silt our fleet of Jet Vacs can be used to draw from depths of 40 metres (130 feet).

Bulk Material Removal and Transportation

Irish Waste Services can provide the removal and transportation of a wide range of bulk waste streams. Some examples of materials transported include acid, alkali, hydrocarbons, chlorinated and non-chlorinated solvent and effluent sludge. To facilitate the CDG/CPL regulations and other legislation surrounding the packaging, identification and transportation of waste, Irish Waste Services has developed specialist software for waste categorisation and label generation. All bulk wastes are transported on ADR specified vehicles with suitably qualified and highly experienced ADR drivers.

Technical Support Services for Drum and Small Pack Removal and Transportation

Many companies (especially those who are not large waste producers) cannot justify the investment in personnel and facilities to correctly analysis, classify, package, label and transport their waste in accordance with current legislation. Advice may also be required on waste minimisation or appropriate treatment technologies. Irish Waste Services’ technical service team can address and find the solutions to these problems. We have qualified and trained chemists working in modern laboratory suites utilising the latest analytical equipment. This enables us to quickly provide fast, comprehensive, professional and accurate analysis for various wastes. All waste drums and small packs are pre-packaged and labelled by a suitably qualified Irish Waste Services representative prior to transportation.
